Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School was established in the year 1982 in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, with the objective of providing comprehensive education to students upto Higher Secondary Certificate Examination. The school is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Education.

Run by Agnel Charities (Agnel Seva Sangh), the institute has been awarded the status of Religious Minority (Christian) Institution by Government of Maharashtra, vide order no. ASHSN – 2008 /PRA KRA.133 / 2008.KA.1 (शाशन निर्णय क्रमांक अ‍ॅसेंशन २००८ / प्रा क्र.१३३ / २००८.का.१) dated: 04/07/2008.

Our vision is to mould children into Nation builders who will make a living, a life and a difference in our world. We envision that Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School & Jr. College will always remain a Learning, Nurturing Organisation, wherein, the home, school and community will be knit together in a trusting partnership, to ensure personal and academic excellence in all children.

We accept every member of the school family, as a unique and integral part of a divine design. To provide a learning environment which empowers students and staff to maximize their personal, creative and academic potential in order to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens of India and the world.

Games and sports is an integral part of the school curriculum. We are one of the few schools in the country to have two astroturf grounds for hockey/football. The school also has two basketball courts which are regularly used to host state, national and international level basketball tournaments. The Fr. Agnel Sports Complex hosts the school swimming pool, a shooting range, table tennis room, chess room and a gymnasium.

We have expert coaches decorated with State and National level awards to teach hockey, football, basketball, chess, skating, table tennis, throw ball, handball, volleyball, athletics, gymnastics, swimming, kho-kho and rifle shooting.

The school has produced a large number of state, national and international level players in various fields.

Science involves seeing, handling, understanding and manipulating of real objects and materials. Teaching science therefore requires a blend of classroom teaching and practical work. Conducting experiments, reviewing them closely, developing logical reasoning, and responding to analytical comments, are some of the valuable skills that help in preparing the next generation of scientists, engineers, and medical professionals.

With this in mind, the school has state of the art science laboratories. We have three labs - one each for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each lab has been specifically designed keeping in mind the type of equipment used and the nature of experiments that need to be performed. For example, every workstation in the Biology lab has lights under the table to ensure adequate lighting while viewing specimens under a microscope. Each lab can handle 30 students at a time.

Books are no doubt man's best friend and we need to get children to experience and discover this joy for themselves. At the same time one cannot ignore the attractions and distractions that technological wizardry brings with it today. Therefore the role of libraries in schools has become even more challenging.

The School has a library in each of the two buildings in sector 9 & 10. Visiting and using the library is part of the weekly timetable for all students. With over 22,000 books the libraries cater to the needs of both students and teachers. Revamping the libraries to make them more attractive to the present generation of children is on the top priority list of the School's future plans.

The library is open Monday to Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Older students can issue reference books for a period of one week from the library. In addition the library provides one book per week to students from standard IV to standard XII.

The school has one computer lab in each building.

The lab in the Sector 9A building has 30 Intel i3 computers. The lab is Wi-Fi enabled. The lab in the Sector 10 building was upgraded in 2017 and uses the latest n-computing setup top provide 30 computer terminals to the students.

All computers in the labs are equipped with the latest software (Windows 10 and Office 2019).

Both the school buildings are connected to our engineering college via broadband. This backbone provides us with up to 40 Mbps of internet bandwidth to both the school buildings.

School students are allowed to make use of the computer labs for their project work or for surfing the internet after school hours. However, the school does not allow students to access social networking sites like Facebook from the lab.
