Report on the Annual Sports Day Ceremony
Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School & Jr. College, Vashi, joyfully celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2024 on 19th December at 7:00 a.m. This year’s event embraced the spirit of the NEP 2020 by being hosted in both English and Marathi, emphasizing inclusion and multilingualism. Anchored by Mrs. Parul Karmakar and Mrs. Madhuri Khade, the celebration began with a warm welcome to dignitaries including Fr. Peter, Fr. Almeida, Fr. Seby, Vice-Principal Rupa Duvvuri and Section Co-Ordinator’s. A soulful prayer, school anthem, and motivational address by Fr. Almeida set a spirited tone for the day.
Students from Std 3 to 5 presented a vibrant mix of athletic and cultural events, including a synchronized Mass Drill (Std 3), an energetic Dumb-bell Drill by the boys (Std 4 and 5) and a lively Zumba performance by the girls (Std 4 and 5). Fun relay races added excitement, while the prize distribution recognized excellence in competitions like storytelling, elocution, and mono-acting, along with trophies for the fastest runners and individual champions. The audience cheered as each student showcased strength, confidence, and sportsmanship.
A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered, acknowledging the immense efforts of teachers, support staff, volunteers, and parents. Special mentions were made for the sports team, admin support, and our school photographer, Bachchan Sir, who captured every moment. The event concluded with a speech by the chief guest-Mrs. Suchita Dhamale Kane (Sports Officer DSO Thane) and the National Anthem. The day was a true celebration of teamwork, dedication, and the holistic development of our students.
Report on the Annual Academic Excellence and Endeavour Awards Ceremony
The Annual Academic Excellence and Endeavour Awards Ceremony was held with pride and enthusiasm, celebrating the outstanding achievements and resilience of our students on 22nd January 2025. The program began with a warm welcome to Rev. Fr. Almeida, coordinators, teachers, and students.
Fr. Almeida addressed the gathering, commending the efforts of both students and teachers. He urged every student to strive to reach their full potential, not only in academics but also in sports and extracurricular activities. As always, he emphasized the importance of reading as a daily habit, encouraging both students and teachers to nurture a love for books as a gateway to lifelong learning.
The Academic Excellence Awards were then presented to students who achieved top grades, followed by the Endeavour Awards, recognizing those who demonstrated determination and personal growth.
